Indexing privacy policy

How Indexing, the white-hat platform that gets your pages indexed on Google and Bing, collects, uses and protects your information. Last updated: June 2026.

The short version

Indexing helps you get your pages indexed on Google and Bing the white-hat way. To do that we collect your account email, the site and sitemap URLs you submit, the Search Console data you choose to connect, and basic usage and analytics data. We use that information to submit your URLs through official search engine APIs, monitor coverage, and send you product email. We never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what we collect when you visit indexing.io, sign up, connect a property, or contact us. It covers both this website and your use of the Indexing product. By using Indexing, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

  • Account information. The email address you provide when you sign up, and optional details such as your name, company or the plan you are interested in. We use a short verification code to confirm your email.
  • Site and sitemap URLs you submit. The domains, page URLs and sitemap addresses you add so we can submit them for indexing and monitor their coverage.
  • Search Console data you connect. If you authorize a connection to Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools, we access the coverage, indexing status and related data those services expose for properties you own, so we can show you what is indexed and detect pages that are not. We request only the access we need and you can revoke it at any time.
  • Usage and analytics data. Information about how you use the product and this site, such as which features you use and which pages you visit, so we can understand what is helpful and improve the experience.
  • Technical and log data. Standard information such as IP address, browser type, and the page or campaign you arrived from, used for security, fraud prevention and understanding traffic sources.

How we use your information

  • To submit the URLs you provide through official methods, including the Google Indexing API, Bing IndexNow and your sitemaps.
  • To monitor coverage, detect pages that are not indexed or have been de-indexed, auto-resubmit where appropriate, and track time-to-index.
  • To set up and operate your account and verify your email address.
  • To respond to your questions and send you relevant product email, where you have asked to hear from us.
  • To understand how the product and site are used so we can improve them.
  • To protect the service from abuse, fraud and security threats.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to operate Indexing, and only to the extent they need it to perform their function. These include:

  • Search engine APIs. We send the URLs you submit to the Google Indexing API and to Bing IndexNow so those engines can discover and crawl your pages. Your use of those services is also subject to Google's and Microsoft's own terms and policies.
  • Email and analytics providers. We use email delivery and analytics providers to send product email and understand usage. They process this data on our behalf under contract.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and our users.

Data retention

We keep your account information, the URLs you submit and your coverage history for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, security and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete the information you have submitted at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to retain it.

How we think about security

Security is a first-class concern. We design to minimize the data we collect, limit access to it, and protect connected accounts. We use encryption in transit and at rest and least-privilege access. Connections to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools use the access tokens those services issue, which you can revoke at any time. We do not claim any certification or status we do not hold.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling non-essential cookies will not stop you from using the site.

Your choices and rights

You can access, correct or delete the information you have submitted, disconnect any Search Console connection, and opt out of non-essential email at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data, including rights under the GDPR and the CCPA, such as the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data. To exercise any of these, email us and we will help. Indexing is built to be GDPR-friendly and CCPA-friendly by design.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and site evolve. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
