Indexing refund policy
Effective 14 October 2026. A charged Indexing plan stays charged; below are the three cases where we send money back, plus how renewal and cancelling work.
The gist. An Indexing plan rents you the platform for a month or a year; it is not a bundle of guaranteed indexed URLs. Run the sitemap scan on the home page to watch the console read your own site before you spend anything, and check the pricing page for what each tier covers. After a period has been paid for, the money stays with us, and future renewals are always yours to switch off.
Google and Bing make the indexing call, not us
We push your URLs through the official submission routes, track coverage and explain why a page is missing. Crawling, indexing and keeping a page are choices the search engines make for themselves, as our terms of service describe. Credit based indexers often give back credits for URLs that did not get in. Indexing is not built like that: you subscribe to the platform, with URL limits per tier as listed on the pricing page, and the whole period is open from the first day whether you send one sitemap or use every last URL.
Indexing results and other reasons we keep the fee
- URLs never made it into the index, fell out later, or were slower to show up than you wanted.
- A search engine judged pages thin or duplicate, or your own robots.txt, noindex or canonical tags kept them out.
- You could not verify, or did not connect, a Search Console property.
- You did not sign in, submitted nothing, or used only part of the month's URL quota.
- The site was sold, the project was parked, or you decided the tool was surplus.
- Growth was bought where Starter would have been enough, yearly instead of monthly, or a site count that did not fit.
- A renewal was collected, even one that only succeeded after failed attempts.
- You assumed a single payment, though the pricing page, checkout, receipt email and workspace all say plans renew.
- The renewal date passed before you cancelled, or you cancelled the day after.
- You wanted a capability the pricing page does not list, or one that works differently from your assumption.
- Part of the period is unused after cancelling; access lasts until the end of what was paid, with no pro rata return.
- Someone else, a colleague with your login included, used the workspace.
Three situations where we hand money back
Only these, only when the records described below bear them out, and only up to the amount of the charge in question.
- An accidental double charge. Our billing collected for the same period twice.
- A payment you did not authorise. Someone charged your card without permission, you let us know inside 14 days, and our own records plus the payment operator's confirm it. Evidence, not a statement, decides, and we may ask you to show that the card issuer has been told about the misuse.
- Indexing completely offline. A fault we confirm on our end made the whole platform unusable for a continuous stretch, you flagged it at the time, and we could not restore it. Slow submissions, one feature failing, a search engine API outage, or problems with your browser, network or website do not qualify.
We never return more than you actually paid for the affected period. The money goes to the paying card, settles our liability for that charge in full, and does not create a right to a later refund.
How to raise a claim
Write to [email protected] from the address your workspace is registered under, no later than 14 days after the charge. Include the charge date and amount and which of the three situations above applies. Claims that arrive late or from an address not tied to the account are not looked at. We take claims in order of arrival and do not reopen ones we have turned down.
Going to your bank with a dispute before writing to us breaks our terms, and the workspace is then closed permanently.
Renewing and cancelling
Plans renew at the end of each month or year until cancelled. Cancel from Billing and invoices inside your workspace whenever you like; no email to us is needed. Cancelling stops every renewal after the current period, while your sites, coverage history and reports stay available until that period ends. It does not count as a refund claim.
The start of a new period grants access to it and makes its payment due. If the card issuer declines, our payment operator tries again over the next days to collect that same unpaid invoice, without adding charges. Cancelling during those attempts switches off later renewals but leaves the amount already owed in place, and a renewal that lands a few days late is as final as one that lands on time. Cancel before the date your workspace shows to avoid the next renewal.
Starting the moment you pay
Finishing checkout is a request that we begin immediately. You agree that any legal cooling-off period or right of withdrawal, if one would have applied, is over once the service is running at your request.
What we keep on file
An account comes with acceptance of our terms of service, which this policy is part of, and our privacy policy. Before payment, checkout sets out the plan, price, billing period and automatic renewal, and the receipt email repeats it.
Each subscription leaves behind its purchase timestamp, the tier and price as checkout presented them, proof that you agreed to the terms, copies of the mails and reminders that went out, plus the workspace log covering sign-ins, sites added, sitemaps and URLs submitted, coverage checks and report exports, each with technical details. Our payment operator holds a separate record of each transaction, listing the card's issuing country, the payment's origin and the 3D Secure outcome. Unauthorised charge claims are weighed against these records, which also go to your bank if you open a chargeback.
Subscriptions from before 14 October 2026
These keep the terms that applied when they were bought, until their current period runs out.
